STEVE BELL
RHYTHM GUITARIST & VOCALS
I started working for the city of Riverside in 1979, which turned out to be a career gig. In 1983, I decided I wanted to play guitar and join a band. I went to the local music store and bought a Hondo flying V and a combo amp. I was going to Harvest Christian Fellowship at the time and took two guitar lessons from worship leader Joe Sabolic, and I was on my way.
I spent much time at Cooper's Music in Riverside and found an ad on the board for a rhythm guitarist for a band called Freewill. Brothers John and Jerry Boudreau and Sean Silas, and that is how I met Sean Silas, who had the patience to work with and teach me how to play along the way.
I later cut my first album on Erika Records with Holy Right and that's when we met C.G. Ryche, who joined the band. We made a pretty big name for ourselves on the local and Hollywood circuit before removing Keith's lead singer to pursue A NEW DIRECTION WITH IronWrath.
C.G., Sean, and I have remained friends and brothers to this day, and now 30 years later, older and wiser, the three of us are back together to continue the journey and see where it will take us if nothing more than making great music that will be good enough for me.
