RHYTHM & LEAD GUITARIST

Sean Silas is the explosive lead guitarist and heavy sound of IronWrath. Sean has been playing guitar in So. Cal. for four decades. His parents introduced him to music at the age of seven through the classical piano. After a few years of piano, he found love listening to hard rock. While listening to hard rock and many different genres, Sean decided to pick up the guitar. He modeled himself on Randy Rhoads, George Lynch, Phil Collen, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, and other guitarists. 

At 19 years of age, he joined his first real band, Freewill, and performed anywhere the band could. They gained some local success and experience writing songs and performing live. Freewill is also where Sean met Steve Bell, who began to play rhythm guitar for the band.

In 1986, when Sean & Steve were signed to Erika Records, where they met drummer C.G. Ryche, they formed a musical bond that still runs strong today. Thru the years, Sean played with many different bands, including Lithium X with Robert Sweet (drummer for Stryper), Sevenfold Image, and Hour 11. Sean has also freelanced as a touring guitarist for bands like Ryatt. For over a decade, Sean has worked for Jackson Guitars as a world-class guitar technician, setting up guitars for Eddie Van Halen, Phil Collins (Def Leppard), Kirk Hemmet (Metallica), John Levine (Dokken), and many others.
